What Do You Want To Achieve?

What do you want to achieve in your life?

Write a book? Be a stay at home parent? Get rich from a business? Be successful in your career?

Why are you WANTING to be those things and not BEING those things then?

Maybe you’re in a career that you never imagined yourself working or wanting to work in but it pays the bills so for now it will do until you can do what you really want.

Maybe you are doing something you like but it’s not making you the money that you always told yourself you would.

Maybe you are working three jobs just to keep the lights on and were sick of it the day you started.

No matter what you reason is for wanting something instead of having it there is a simple way you can get it.

Every time you wake up. Every time you turn on the TV. Anytime you do anything ask yourself, “What do I want to achieve in life?”

And after you answer, you will have to decide if what you are about to do is getting you closer to that or further away.

Because there is no middle ground. You either advance or take steps backwards.

Everything you do either puts you closer or further away from what you want.

The choice is yours.  Continue wanting to be the person you should be or begin BEING that person.

Until Next Time…

Be Creative All Year Long

Kids are always creative when it comes to costume’s for Halloween.  That’s because to them it is fun dressing up and getting all that candy.  As for me I really enjoy seeing the different outfits that come to our front door and it brings joy to me to see the kids run off happy to receive their candy.

I have found there was a time I had lost that same child like joy and when that occurred I lost my creativity.

As you can see from the picture, God was very creative when the universe was created and you can still tell in the use of sunset colors.

If we were made in God’s image and likeness then we too are creative beings.  Lets not use one holiday or another to be creative, lets be creative all year long.  For when we are creative we are doing what we were made to do.

Until Next Time…

Traveling with Ease and Positive Thinking

If you have seen my blog posts already, you’ll know that I love to travel often. You can check out my blog, where I talk about travel, learning, thoughts, meditation, and much more.

One of the things I really enjoy about traveling is the experience you receive that can be vastly different from what you’re used to sitting at home in a chair you’re used to, a bathroom you are comfortable in, and a job that you know what you’re doing each day. Of course, depending on where you’re traveling to, stores could be different, it might smell different. Likely the water will even taste different, which can be scary, but if you’re careful it will all be okay.

A big thing I have learned in my various travels throughout the world, is that you have to ease the mind and enjoy your current surroundings. If you don’t find the good in what you’re experiencing, you can always dive into the negative side of things which surround us even when we are at home. If you aren’t one that enjoys traveling much because of the stress or things being “different”, try it again sometime and see how it goes. Keep an open mind, embrace the culture and differences from what you’re used to. I can promise you that it will really open up your eyes and you’ll realize that the world is a huge place and there is a lot more to life than just focusing on one small segment of it.

I know some who read this will think, “I don’t want to travel though, it isn’t for me.”, and that’s okay. What I will say though, is keep this perspective in place in your everyday life as well, not just while traveling. Embrace what is going on around you, as long as it is within your values and morals. See the good, see the light in the situations you find yourself in. It’ll really make a change in your day, week, month, year, decade, life, whatever you want to say, I can tell you that it’ll change the way your mind works when you encounter a situation.

That’s all I have for today, I will sign this off as I always do.

Stay classy!

Photo of Happiness

I’m not sure if there is any photo that can depict real, true happiness.

Happiness is just a feeling, an amazing one at that.

The most a photo can do is invoke feelings of happiness.

So think of me as your photo, and I’ll be sure to invoke happiness into your life as long as you’ll let me.

First impressions

How ya goin?

My name is Olivia, but you can call me Liv.

I am least comfortable in a bathing suit.

So, here is a picture of me in one.

This year I took a chance on me.

I closed my eyes and dreamt of myself in Australia.

In February, I start school at the University of Queensland.

My true happiness will come when I close my eyes and no longer dream of myself anywhere else.

Until then, I will keep going to where my dreams take me.
